Training Program on R Software in Health Research Begins at PUSHS Gothgaun

A three-day training program on the application of R software in health research has commenced at Purbanchal University School of Health Sciences (PUSHS), Gothgaun. The training is specifically designed for faculty members from the constituent and affiliated colleges of Purbanchal University.

The program was formally inaugurated by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Biju Kumar Thapalia. The inaugural session was graced by the presence of Registrar Mr. Nilmani Pokharel, Chief of the Research Center Prof. Dr. Minraj Dhakal, and Chief of the Curriculum Development and Research Division, Prof. Dr. Medani Prasad Sharma.

A total of 25 faculty members are participating in the training. The program is chaired by Ms. Kabita Adhikari, Director of PUSHS, and coordinated by Mr. Nabin Lamichhane, Head of the Department of Public Health.

Dr. Apiradee Lim from Prince of Songkla University is serving as the lead trainer, while Ms. Yuling Lian, a Clinical Data Analyst from China, is also contributing as a resource person. Both are delivering expert sessions on the practical application of R software in health research.

The training program is supported by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Nepal.
