The 39th Senate meeting of Purbanchal University was held on July 1, 2024, in the residential office of Prime-minister, Baluwatar, Kathmandu, Nepal. The meeting was attended by Right Honourable Prime Minister and Chancellor Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Honourable Minister of Education, Science, and Technology and Pro-Chancellor Ms. Sumana Shrestha, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Biju Kumar Thapalia, Registrar Nilmani Pokharel, and other Senate members.
During the meeting, the Senate approved the Annual Budget for the Fiscal Year 2081/82 BS. Additionally, new members were appointed to the Purbanchal University Executive Council. The appointees are Prof. Dr. Pawan Kumar Jha, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology; Dr. Shailesh Mani Pokharel, Dean of the Faculty of Medical and Allied Sciences; and Associate Prof. Dr. Ramesh Babu Kafle.
