Purbanchal University’s Office of the Vice-Chancellor and Planning Division successfully organized a one-day interaction and workshop on Quality Accreditation Assurance (QAA) on February 20, 2025. The program aimed to initiate and prepare the QAA process for both constituent and affiliated colleges. The event was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Biju Kumar Thapalia, who addressed the participants, emphasizing the need to commence the QAA process to enhance academic excellence. Executive Director of the Planning Division, Dr. Komal Prasad Dulal, also highlighted the importance of quality accreditation in strengthening institutional credibility and educational standards.
The workshop featured detailed presentations from resource persons invited from the University Grants Commission (UGC). Deputy Director Bhagawati Poudel and Assistant Director Narayan Prasad Bhandari provided insights into the QAA framework, explaining its significance and procedural requirements.
The program saw the participation of senior officials, including the officiating registrar and dean, Dr. Sandess Das Shrestha, along with the executive directors, deputy deans, and directors of constituent colleges of Purbanchal University. Representatives from more than 40 affiliated colleges also took part in the event, contributing to productive discussions on implementing QAA initiatives.
