Purbanchal University (PU) hosted an interaction program with the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Nepal on January 31, 2025, at its Central Office in Gothgaun, Morang. Chaired by Prof Dr Biju Kumar Thapalia, Vice-Chancellor of PU, and featuring Chief Guest Prof Dr Dev Raj Adhikari, UGC Chairman, the event focused on labor market-driven programs, Quality Accreditation Assurance (QAA), and merit-based faculty selection to enhance educational quality.
Key participants included Registrar Mr. Nilamani Pokharel; Deans Dr. Shailesh Mani Pokharel, Dr. Sandesh Dass Shrestha, Prof Dr Pawan Kumar Jha; Executive Directors Dr. Komal Prasad Dulal, Dr. Uttam Kumar Regmi, Prof Dr Minraj Dhakal, Prof Dr Medini Prasad Sharma; along with Deputy Deans, Directors of constituent schools and teaching hospitals, and senior PU staff.
